In chapter 3, M. Myriel had to go around places for pastoral visits. He went to Senez, and people would laugh at him for ridding donkeys. So I'm guessing he likes ridding donkeys.
In this Chapter jena Valjean realized that he might not be a good person after he tried to steal bread from his family. he also believed that his punishment was unfair even though he knew he deserved it.
In chapter 13 it just talks about how the bishop love everyone no matter what. A lot of the people really appreciated his love towards them. He is such a nice guy.
As long as our society says it's acceptable for people to judge each other and ruin each other's lives. He also explain how we were living in hell because of the laws we had. And sooner or later he kids would have a little faith in life. As long as these problems still occur then the topic of these books would still be useful in the feature.
